by | May 30, 2018 | Mixer Spotlights, Streaming |

In this Streamer Spotlight, we head over to Mixer to check out Atrocity’s stream and find out what makes him tick as a streamer, as well as his goals and advice for new and upcoming streamers on Mixer. Atrocity is a Partnered Mixer streamer with an up and established community.

Q: Firstly thanks for agreeing to take part in our streamer spotlights! TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOURSELF.

A: No Problem! Well, I am an ex-semi pro turned partnered streamer on Mixer and have been streaming now for 8 years playing First Person and Third person shooters like Call of Duty, Fortnite, PUBG and lots of other indie games.

Q: When did you start streaming and what motivated you to start?

A: As I said earlier I started streaming 8 years ago on Justin.tv and my motivation to get started was the growing Call of Duty competitive scene online because I was already playing at LAN and I was horrible at Youtube editing (still am) so I tried out streaming because it was live and I didn’t have to edit.

Q: What or who do you think has contributed to your growth on Mixer as a streamer?

A: The Community… No other way to really put it, Streaming relies heavily on a community being there once you have established yourself as a streamer and the community has helped me massively since I moved from Twitch.tv 2 years ago.

Q: What do you think are some unique things about your stream?

A: I add a steady mix of competitive gameplay with a little bit of comedy and funny moments added in (plus that Scottish accent doe).

Q: How have you found the streaming community ON Mixer both as a viewer and a streamer?

A: I love it! It’s a very caring and supportive community who will do what they can to support people and there is nothing more you can really ask for as a streamer or a viewer.

Q: If you had any advice for new streamers what would it be?

A: Have fun with it, don’t stress about numbers, whether it’s viewers, followers, active chatters or whatever it may be, just have fun. People will see you having fun and they will want to join in.

Q: Is there anything else you would like to say or anyone you would like to shout out?

A: Like I was saying earlier the community on Mixer is amazing so I would personally like to give an honorable mention to Rocketbear, Lagby, Navi_ilivas and Kitty_Haz_Claws who were the first people I watched on Beam at the time (now called Mixer).

They were the ones who convinced me a move from Twitch to Beam was the way to go and that has lead to me accomplishing more in 2 years at Beam / Mixer than I did in 6 years before I ended up here serves recognition.
